YUNUS

From a Turkish migrant family and born and raised in Paris, Yunus first got interested in DJing as he was inspired by Turkey's rich musical culture and as the French scene was blooming in the late 2000s. He is currently based in Asia as Totoro Typhoon’s sound director, Fauve Radio's art director and as a resident DJ and visual artist for various local clubs and sound systems.

Yunus has a large experience playing in all ranges of venues - from the most confidential raves to the biggest festivals - sharing the deck with artists such as Naduve, Robert Owens, Jayda G, Felix Dickinson and Pablo Valentino. Tinted with a distinctive shiny sound, Yunus' DJ sets vary from technical mixes with balanced repetitions and variations inspired by selections from artists such as Boo Williams or Soichi Terada, to eclectic but fresh vibes found in balearic and ambiant curiosities, psych rock, experimental jazz and oriental drums digs from Anatolia.

V_R_A_P

Living between the cities of London, Paris for the last past decade and now Hong Kong, V_R_A_P has been collecting records for over more than 10 years, reflecting the creative sonic energy and music culture of those cities.

After making his Hong Kong début in 宀 Club along Yoshi Nori, All Night long sets at the Music Room of Potato Head, showcases in Fauve radio and at Wonderfruit festival along international DJs expect him a intimate vinyl only selection of his last house music finding and all time personal favorites.

Espen Cook (Club Kowloon)

Espen Cook (Club Kowloon). Norwegian DJ and painter currently based in Hong Kong. Started DJing in 2013 and since has been playing at clubs and festivals such Sonar Hong Kong, Vill Vill Vest Afterparty (NO), OIL Club (SZ), Social Room (HK), XXX (HK), Salon 10 (HK) Key Club (HK) Duddells (HK) Colectiva Gazette/Gazette (ROM), Landmark Bergen (NOR) and has an ongoing residency at Cassio (HK) and Peninsula (HK).

Founded Club Kowloon in 2017 a Hong Kong based art, music and lifestyle company - promoting underground music and organising events. Breaking up the pre-existing hierarchy of the small HK underground scene, the goal of Club Kowloon is to open up for new and interesting collaborations with a different angle.

For the 9th edition of Microlounge we are back at this years best new bar, Terrible Baby. We are continuing our mission together with Eaton HK to further strengthen and build the scene in Kowloon. Catch us in the lounge of Terrible Baby for your monthly dosage of experimental house music.

Eaton HK has undergone a huge renovation, with a new and interesting arts and culture programme, including exhibitions,  movie screenings, talks and music events.

Inspired by the minimal house scene which has a strong foothold in Europe, the goal of this party series is to develop and build a platform for sophisticated house music in Hong Kong.
